AI Search Query Capture is a Chrome extension published by Laurelin Labs Limited (Company Number 16724815, London, United Kingdom). This policy explains what the extension does with data. The short version: it keeps everything on your device and sends nothing anywhere.

What the extension does

When you use ChatGPT (chatgpt.com) or Claude (claude.ai) and the assistant searches the web to answer you, the extension reads the responses those sites produce in your own browser, and extracts two things: the search queries the assistant ran, and the source URLs it cited. It lists them in the extension popup and an optional on-page ticker, and lets you export them to a CSV file.

What we collect

Nothing. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any user data.

  • Captured queries and cited URLs are stored only on your device, in your browser local storage (chrome.storage.local).
  • The data never leaves your browser. There is no account, no server, no analytics, and no telemetry.
  • We have no access to your captured items, your prompts, your accounts, or anything you type.

Permissions and why they are used

  • storage: to save captured queries and cited URLs locally so you can view, filter and export them.
  • Host access to chatgpt.com and claude.ai: so the extension can run on those sites and read their own web-search responses. The extension operates only on these sites and accesses no other website.

The extension does not use any remote code. All code runs from within the installed package.

Your control of the data

Captured items live in your browser. You can clear them at any time from the popup, or by removing the extension. Because nothing is sent to us, there is no server-side data to request or delete.

Third parties

The extension reads data only from your own ChatGPT and Claude sessions, in your own browser. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to OpenAI or Anthropic. We do not transfer data to any third party.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date.
