Privacy notice

This notice covers the website at laurelinlabs.com. It is published by Laurelin Labs Limited (registered in England and Wales, company number 16724815, London), the data controller for the purposes of UK GDPR. For any privacy question, contact privacy@laurelinlabs.com.

The short version

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, Google Search Console to see how it performs in search, and a mailing list if you choose to subscribe. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. Our browser extensions are covered by their own separate policies, linked below.

Analytics (Google Analytics 4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are read and where visitors arrive from. It sets cookies and collects usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and referring source. We have IP anonymisation enabled, and we do not use Analytics to identify you personally.

Google processes this data as our processor. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser. Our lawful basis is your consent, or our legitimate interest in measuring and improving the site.

Search Console

We use Google Search Console to monitor how the site appears in Google Search. It provides us with aggregated, non-identifying information such as search queries that led to the site, impressions and clicks. It does not collect personal information about individual visitors through this website.

Mailing list

If you subscribe through a form on the site, we store your email address (and the form it came from) in our database in order to send occasional updates. We use a hosted database provider (Supabase) as our processor for this. We rely on your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by emailing us. We do not share your address or use it for advertising.

Contacting us

If you email us, we keep your message and contact details for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for our records. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to you.

Cookies

The site uses cookies set by Google Analytics (for example _ga) to measure usage. It does not use advertising cookies. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; blocking analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the site.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. You can also withdraw consent at any time, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. To exercise any of these, email privacy@laurelinlabs.com.
