The Site Performance Operating System
Inputs, outputs, and the honest join between them.
A four-layer methodology for linking marketing activity to measurable site performance: capture the inputs (every task), measure the outputs (every metric), join them through attribution windows, and surface all three on a cadence, so value is provable rather than asserted.
Why it exists
Most SEO programmes report outputs and keep activity as a separate trust-me list. When the algorithm gives or takes, the client cannot tell whether the agency added value. This methodology closes that gap with structured input-side data and honest attribution that subtracts market and algorithm baselines.
The four layers
- Baseline inventory, the static as-is picture: URL inventory, keyword universe, technical, local, backlinks, conversion, competitors, brand.
- Activity log, every task tagged with type, URL touched, keyword touched, hours and a hypothesis. The type field is what makes attribution possible.
- Output measurement, daily search-console pulls, weekly KPIs, monthly keyword RAG, quarterly portfolio review.
- Attribution, 30/60/90-day windows joining activity to output, with the market and the algorithm subtracted.
