SEO / AEO Deliverables Planner

This is our real 2026 service catalogue, published: 97 deliverables across a five stage journey, 16 of them new for the AI search era, and 14 retired with the reasons on record. Every line states what the task is, why it is needed, the expected impact and the market evidence. Build your own monthly plan, drag it across the weeks, and send it back as a proposal request.

Why we published our catalogue

Agencies usually treat the deliverables sheet as a trade secret. We think the opposite: if the work is defensible, the list of it should survive daylight. This catalogue is the result of reviewing our own 2018 master list, 216 lines and roughly 810 scoped hours a month, against what the 2026 market actually rewards: what leading SEO, AEO and GEO agencies now sell, live search demand data for the services themselves, and what Google has formally deprecated.

The biggest structural change is a stage that did not exist in 2018: AI search. Visibility in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI surfaces is now a deliverable category of its own, from baseline audits and LLM share of voice monitoring to answer first content restructuring and digital PR aimed at the sources AI systems cite. The biggest deletions are Google driven: disavow maintenance, FAQ and HowTo rich result schema, guest post seeding and volume citation building all came off the sheet, each with the evidence recorded in the retired list.

Hours shown are indicative scoping hours, not a quote. When you send a plan over, it comes back as a scoped proposal with the assumptions stated. The full research write up, including the demand data and the retirement evidence, is in the build log.

What is no longer on the list

  • Meta keywords optimisation. Ignored by Google since 2009.
  • Robots.txt host directive. Obsolete; never a Google signal, deprecated by Yandex.
  • FAQ / HowTo schema for rich results. HowTo deprecated 2023; FAQ rich results fully removed May 2026.
  • Disavow refresh (quarterly ritual). Google: not part of normal site maintenance; most sites do not need it.
  • Negative link acquisition monitoring. Google discounts random spam links; monitoring adds little.
  • Citation building (volume, for Google). Declining local factor for a decade; reframed as AI mention building instead.
  • Citation review & duplicate suppression (monthly). One off cleanup only.
  • Local link building (separate line). Merged into digital PR.
  • Blogger seeding / guest post packages. Site reputation abuse and link spam policies; Forbes Advisor de indexing made the risk concrete.
  • Infographic creation (for links). Devalued embed tactic; data storytelling lives in content and PR now.
  • Press release distribution (for links). Wire links carry no equity (nofollow guidance since 2013); genuine news only.
  • AMP builds / separate m dot sites. AMP requirement dropped 2021; mobile first indexing complete.
  • Keyword volume driven content calendars. AI Overviews absorbed informational click volume; calendars are now intent and prompt led.
  • Monthly rank report as the core KPI. Rankings decoupled from clicks (c.68 percent zero click); replaced by visibility sets including AI citations.
